Silent Hill is a film directed by Christophe Gans and written by Roger Avary, and an adaptation of the survival horror video game series from Konami Silent Hill. The film incorporates elements of visual narrative and the first four parts of the series, but generally follows the premise of the first game, is played by Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean, Jodelle Ferland Laurie Holden.

Rose (Radha Mitchell) and her husband Christopher da Silva (Sean Bean) are distressed by her adopted daughter Sharon (Jodelle Ferland) who has nightmares and has begun to show symptoms of sleepwalking. Amid the screams of the girl, Rose overhears the name of <<Silent Hill>>. Desperate for answers, takes Sharon to the town of Silent Hill, West Virginia, despite the opposition of Christopher, because Silent Hill is reputed to be a ghost town, having been abandoned thirty years ago. Shortly before reaching the village Rose and his daughter cross paths with a police officer, Cybil Bennet (Laurie Holden), who after the brief encounter suspicion of mother's behavior and decides to pursue them. But more to the town of Silent Hill on the circulating road has an accident and Rose is knocked unconscious, waking her daughter Sharon is gone.

At that moment, Rose leaves the scene and began searching for her daughter for the desolate streets of the town. During the following scenes Rose will tour the bowels of the people left without news of her daughter while monstrous creatures face hellish scenarios. In the midst of this hell know a woman named Dahlia Gillespie in rags (Deborah Kara Unger) who speaks of terrible things he suffered his own daughter, Alessa, at the hands of the people of Silent Hill. Dahlia says that Sharon is actually her daughter, not Rose. Moments after the encounter with Dahlia, Rose meets Cybil, the police officer who chased her, who immediately arrested and later tries to escort her back to the station of his people.

Scary Movies However, when both reach the confines of the people discover that the way out of the town has mysteriously disappeared, at which time both women are attacked by a deformed creature, and Rose escapes, still handcuffed, into the school of Silent Hill, where more attacked by monstrous creatures. Cybil finally become aware of the situation and locate Rose after the release of their wives to work with her on the terrible task of surviving in this hellhole. Parallel to the plight of Rose and Cybil, Christopher scenes are interspersed and the police through the town and surrounding area for clues. Unbeknownst to Christopher and Rose coincide in the same places at the same instant, but in parallel dimensions so it cannot communicate but somehow can be perceived.

Meanwhile, Rose and Cybil find someone else in town, Anna, who conducts herself as a religious person. Anna leads the only refuge from the monsters, the village church. Before entering, Anna looks at Dahlia and throws stones, but in those moments of darkness consumes the people and Pyramid Head, famous creature of the video game series, is brutally murdered Anna. Inside the church, the heroes find the inhabitants of Silent Hill, members of a religious cult led by Christabella (Alice Kirge). Christabella convinces Rose that his intention is to find the devil so feared by the cultists, and she takes her to a hospital in the town, along with Cybil. There Christabella discover the resemblance between Sharon and Alessa across a photo of Sharon Rose's collar and called Rose and Cybil witches. Cybil is captured and beaten by other villagers in an attempt to allow Rose to escape the cult and descend to the basement of the hospital.

In a lengthy flashback, Rose discovers that Silent Hill has a sad history of rituals, bigotry and hatred in the form of witch hunt, a dark past, culminating in the attempt to burn Alessa alive by being raped by the janitor of his school as their fanaticism led them to believe that she has something evil for having provoked. This 30 years ago sparked a fire that destroyed the town. A Rose is told that Sharon is a manifestation of what remains of innocence and goodness of Alessa, and she was taken to the orphanage for the girl like Sharon. Rose is worried about who is this being bedridden and asks him directly, the answer he receives is: "I have many names. At this point, I'm the dark part of Alessa. " Dark Alessa Christabella reveals that Sharon will attempt to burn alive as a witch, and she cannot enter the church itself as the fanaticism of the inhabitants there prevents you from deploying its dark power. Rose understands the situation and to save his daughter agrees to help Alessa dark in a final revenge against the fanatics.

Rose enters the church just as Cybil is burned alive by the mad people of the village and Sharon is about to suffer a similar death. Rose, owned by "the dark side of Alessa," confronts the cult members and Christabella with what you know, trying to convince them that they are denying their own destiny. Angered by what she considered to be heresy, Christabella stabs Rose. Rose's blood falls to the floor of the church, opening a huge hole in it. The double Alessa Rose wound healing, and adult and dual Alessa emerge from the abyss and kill Christabella and cult members with huge barbed wire tentacles Dahlia leaving as the only inhabitant of Silent Hill. After leaving the church the remains of Rose and her daughter riding in the jeep and leave behind Silent Hill to return home. Along the way Rose Christopher telephones the called and although unable to communicate (as only hear interference), he knows it's her. Finally Rose and Sharon / Alessa come home and breathe easier. But as happened in previous scenes, Rose and her daughter are in the same place as Christopher, but he cannot see them, nor they to him. The world they inhabit is surrounded by a strange mist as it were trapped in the world of Silent Hill.
