Dead Silence is a horror film from the creators of the horror film series Saw James Wan and Leigh Whannell . The protagonists of these films are Ryan Kwanten as Jamie Ashen, Donnie Wahlberg as Detective Jim Lipton, and Judith Roberts as Mary Shaw. The film was released on March 16, 2007 and released on DVD on June 26, 2007.
Several versions of the film: the classified and that will not take sides. The movie was filmed in 6 months and 17 days.
In Ravens Fair there is a rumor that a ventriloquist gone mad. After being accused of abducting a child, the townspeople killed her and torn tongue. Since that time, Ravens Fair is plagued by mysterious deaths. Now all the people are afraid to even mention the name of Mary Shaw, the woman who appears to kill and that surely will be your tongue if you show that you can scream.
Some curiosities of the film are:
- Make-up with the actress who plays Mary Shaw looks like it is dead takes 4 hours to make.
- In the film, when all the dolls are turned into the clown at the bottom can be seen Billy Saw.
- The doll that came to the wife of the protagonist is identical to a doll that appears in several episodes of the horror series Goosebumps.
- There is an alternate ending where the new wife's father Jaime instead of Mary Shaw she somehow full of resentment, made a covenant with Mary being revealed that she was responsible for extending the horrible chain of terror that Mary can satiate their vengeance digging up their children after leaving her unconscious Jaime takes a picture of her husband's puppet, the body of the late James and Lisa as she lay tied up in a familiar pose, later we see the same wife narrating the Mary's poem and telling the pale and haggard body of James that the only thing that will save the silence, then blows out the candle.
